Hello, my name is Rebekah but most of the time I just go by Bekah! I’m 26 years old, a self-taught photographer, wife & mother, and I grew up in Okinawa, Japan.
You may be thinking "Wow, Japan that's cool, or why did she grow up there?" Well my mom is from Okinawa and my dad was stationed there when he was in the military, and later on they became missionaries there. I absolutely loved getting to grow up in such an amazing culture & on such a beautiful island, I believe it's where my love for traveling and people first grew.
Some hobbies of mine
- being anywhere tropical or near a beach
- spending time with family and friends
- finding record shops to build my collection
- wanting to buy all the old film cameras
- watching f.r.i.e.n.d.s for the 100th time
- listening to Christmas music year round
- buying Asian snacks
- trying to find the best food spots
Most days after a session you'll find me curled up in a comfy blanket watching some sort of sitcom show or reading a good book ^-^
I find the most fun sessions or events to capture are the ones where everyone is comfortable with each other and just trusts the process.
If it starts raining, great! Lets run around in the rain.
If the location ends up falling through we'll pivot and walk the streets finding the best ice cream shop or a cute book shop to hop into. As long as you keep a poitive outlook and a care free attitude you'll have photos you can look back on fondly.
